Internet + Missions

God is working through M-DAT to help pass missions onto the next generation and meaningfully involve believers in the Great Commission! We are an innovative ministry that develops and operates practical websites that help people take their next step in missions involvement.

Projects

Mission Trip Search Engine

Since 2000, this top ranked website has helped tens of thousands of believers take the step of serving on a one-week to three-year mission trip. It offers current details on opportunities from 90 organizations and receives 8,000 unique visitors each month.

Tomorrow's Missionaries

PreparingToGo.com contains guidance and advice to encourage and assist aspiring missionaries. After releasing a rudimentary version of the website, we are now expanding it to include video clips with advice from experienced missionaries, a mission organization directory, and an interactive tool for identifying steps individuals need to take as they prepare to go. We plan to move the website out of "beta" and officially launch it in fall 2009.

M-DAT Partners with AskAMissionary.com

February 2009: M-DAT announced today that it has entered into an agreement with John McVay of Tulsa, Oklahoma, that brings AskAMissionary.com into M-DAT's family of services. The agreement is a one-year trial period, intended as a stepping stone toward a permanent partnership. Under the agreement, McVay will continue his involvement with the project.

Work is underway to overhaul the AskAMissionary.com website. AskAMissionary.com boasts 400-plus text-based answers from Christian missionaries to hundreds of questions about being a missionary for one year or longer. Users can submit questions or answers.
